Inspired by the 70s and the Stonewall civil rights movement, Mario Dice’s new resort collection represents an introspective journey inside each of us, an invitation to take off the mask we all have built up since childhood to hide our darkest secrets, which will be undoubtedly revealed in time.
The sculptural, colourful dresses and total looks are realized using mostly raw fabrics, decorated with ‘broderie anglaise’. Natural cotton, linen and canvas are enriched with the application of details and contrasting inlays, batik-effect denims are matched with plissé Habutai silk and 3D prints. Black and white are used to create optical embroideries on shirts, dresses and blouses.
The stunning chromatic palette includes warm nuances such as brown and caramel, mixed with contrasting hues such as coral, lime and bright blue.
