Based in Prague, international marketplace Eco Fashion Labels was founded…
Synonym for elegance ever since it was founded in 1946 by Madame Fernanda, Gattinoni dressed some of the most beautiful women in the world: Audrey Hepburn, Evita Peron, Ingrid Bergman, Lana Turner, Beyoncé and the list goes on. For the SS20 collection, artistic director Luigi Filippo Morelli blends Gattinoni’s elegance with his love for the sea and presents it through two types of women.
ROMANTIC AND FREE – The focus is on long dresses characterized by lightness and volume, with references to the sea and its inhabitants.
Off-white dresses’ transparencies and volumes evoke a jellyfish and its soft movements, while the Lightness print, a floral motif merged with fishes, recalls the reflections of the sea thanks to the luminescence of the pale blue crêpe georgette.
ADVENTURER OF THE SEA – Always feminine and contemporary, Gattinoni combines elegance with casualwear through simple volumes.
Straight from pirates and sailors’ wardrobes, denim effect double breasted suits with anchor embellished buttons and foulards worn like bandanas create the perfect outfit for a modern explorer of the seas.
Last but not least, for the accessories Gattinoni chooses the Teodosia print: a geometric design in which different shades of blue – navy, sky blue and electric blue – are matched with white.
