The global fashion’s benchmark event for menswear and contemporary lifestyle has today opened its doors in Florence (Italy), and it will continue until 11th of January 2019.
The Pitti Box is the main topic for the event’s next edition, while being a celebration of the common features of Pitti Immagine: that is to say a real “Surprise Box”, an extraordinary ‘container’ for new ideas and novelties to be unpacked and changed at every season. They tell about the new vibrations of fashion and lifestyle. Visitors should not miss out the special video-art gallery box offering a highly emotional-energetic experience. All this within a set design which is conceived and edited by life-styler Sergio Colantuoni.
Among the initiatives to highlight the new made-in-Italy brands, there is a presentation of ALDOMARIACAMILLO. After a career marked by important collaborations – from Ermenegildo Zegna to Valentino, from Cerruti to Berluti -, this Italian designer is now presenting his first collection during a special event taking place within the Alcatraz Space, at Leopolda Station. The new collection is conceived as the ideal wardrobe for modern men.
Another special event is represented by the presentation of the new Gucci Garden setting inside the ancient Palazzo della Mercanzia, in Piazza della Signoria, which replaces the work tribute to Bjork, opened on last June. For the occasion, new mural works will occupy the passageways between the different floors of Gucci Garden: the history of the creation of Jayde Fish, and the quotations from Coco Capitán, accompanied with images, give way to a series of unprecedented murals realized by two artists. These works are capable of involving the visitors, as well as of interacting with the windows opening towards Piazza della Signoria, by establishing a dialogue between the pedestrian ways of Gucci Garden and the busy square. Finally, in the stores of Gucci Garden, a selection of accessories and clothing articles will be presented together with images of an artist who has collaborated for the first time with the Italian fashion house.
