Cédric Charlier SS20: through the Great American West

The journey is once again the inspirational source for stylist Cédric Charlier. Undisputed top player in the next Spring/Summer 2020 collection is certainly the journey between Arizona and Utah, a Spaghetti Western background, with all its typical colours and landscapes.

This scenario takes Cédric Charlier towards his own interpretation of the woman: she is a traveller, an independent and dreaming woman who is always ready to mix new styles and fabrics together. Denim and satin are here the main fabrics, to be used for the trench coats, the skirts, and the pleated shirts, together with fringes, paisley prints and thistle flowers, all patterns that evoke the works by Jan Fabre. Petticoat dresses in ‘Broderie anglaise’ with details in pearls or diamonds are all hand-sewn, to complete the collection and add a newly-Romantic touch. The chromatic palette offers a wide range of nuances: from the white to the nude nuance or the ink colour, while perfectly merging with other natural colours of the American landscape. All looks are complemented with a series of accessories, and leather or natural leather bags, to be matched with jewelled sandals and silk laces.
