The city of Ravenna (Italy) and its mosaics are the inspiring Muse for the next Autumn-Winter 2020-2021 Collection by Gabriele Pasini, which is on schedule from 7th to 10th of January at Pitti Uomo.
Ravenna – a city with a silent, simple but majestic soul – is described through the definition of clothing structure and by highlighting its form, in a process of chromatic, unmistakeable references and cross-references.
The chromatic palette is natural, and it includes beige, brown nuances, to be cut with blue and fluo elements, especially in accessories and T-shirts.
Ravenna’s Byzantine mosaics are reinterpreted and referenced in the prints, especially in ties and shirts that are to be worn together with pinstriped suits – the distinctive feature in Gabriele Pasini‘s heritage collection. The pinstriped pattern is now explored at any stage of its evolution, starting from its very stripes that are processed under any form of expression, from Mini to Maxi sizes.
An important section of the next collection has been realised by considering sustainability as its primary objective. About fifteen pieces among shirts, suits and coats are made by using exclusively sustainable textiles, bringing forwards the stylist’s objective to extend these ethical principles to the entire collection within 5 years.
