Pitti Immagine Uomo – international benchmark for menswear fashion collections – is coming soon, and this year it will open its 93rd Edition.


This Italian men fashion show will turn into a true Film Festival, including various film genres, from Thriller to Adventure, and from Action to Spy-Stories. All pavilions will become a movie theatre where visitors can enjoy the shows. In particular, Piazza della Fortezza da Basso (Florence) will become a real Movie Theatre District with gigantic billboards and film posters used to announce the blockbusters, and not only.


Absolute novelty for this year edition will be “Athlovers”, a new special project at the Fortezza da Basso sponsored by Pitti Immagine and by E:NOI Consulting company. The project intends to celebrate the birth of athletic-minded collections, all coming from an accurate selection of the brands which better represent not only the Active concept or that of lifestyle, but also a new dimension of modern life.

This initiative is thus unprecedented and innovative for traditional fashion events, and it is designed and developed in consideration of the most fashion-forward concept stores and E-shops.

As a matter of fact, Athleisure is today one of the most expanding market segments, with positive growth outlooks. Top brands at the next Pitti fashion show will be 42.54, AEANCE, DYNE, GR1PS and ISAORA.

Thanks to an important collaboration with the excellent Reda partner, an ideal capsule collection will be exclusively presented for the first time during the show. From the interactivity of this collaboration, visitors will also prove true emotional experiences, and they can feel fully involved.


On January 11, the UNDERCOVER by Jun Takahashi and TAKAHIROMIYASHITA The Soloist will take place.

The style by Takahashi, who has been a top player in the avant-garde fashion industry for over 25 years and who has chosen the Pitti show to present his creations, is based on an sort of experimentation translating into the combination of Streetwear and Fashion Design, while being strongly influenced over by contemporary youth culture.


The creations by Takahiro Miyashita, who is appearing for the first time at Pitti fashion show, are a mix of different influences spanning from the young American culture, the Rock music (from The Beatles to Nirvana, up to Nine Inch Nails), and from the films by Gus Van Sant, all reinterpreted according to a unique vision of design.


They both will be the true Guest Designers at Pitti Immagine Uomo 93, who are expected to present their collections for the Autumn/Winter 2018-19 season. For the first time, visitors will attend for two shows in a row, as a symbolic translation of the friendship that links both designers, and of the reciprocal respect for their works.
