On Thursday, May 17, the fifth edition of Moda Makers has concluded: this fashion event represents a great appointment for the textile-clothing companies based in the District of Carpi (Italy). During three days, buyers coming from over 40 countries across the world have had the possibility of seeing the first creations for the Spring/Summer 2019.
The event has offered a great satisfaction to the attending companies and operators, especially in terms of volumes of visitors. With respect to the previous edition, there has been a significant rise – about 1100 visitors – and a new location has been open: the Carpi Fashion System Centre located in Via dell’Agricoltura, which can now offer a larger capacity and the possibility of hosting as many as 60 companies. The Moda Makers fashion show has almost become a brand and it has consolidated itself as one of the main fashion events at an European level.
The final total number of visitors has confirmed the positive trends already recorded during the previous days: at the event closure, an increase by about 10% with respect to November 2017 has been obtained.
Thanks to the collaboration among local SMEs, trade categories and local institutions, the strategy which has gathered over ten thousand fashion proposals of sartorial clothing, knitwear, tailor’s made, shirts and coats in a single space has proved to be successful.
Also in terms of visitors – about 70% of whom consists in buyers and their agencies, while the remaining part includes industry’s operators such as suppliers, journalists and photographers – the figures of the previous editions have been overcome.
Among the different home countries of international visitors, Japan continues to lead as top performer, together with Belgium, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Portugal, Austria, Canada, Israel, France, Greece and the United States.
Before the next Autumn appointment for Moda Makers, which is planned to take place in November 2018, the next fashion event of the Carpi Fashion System on schedule is the incoming event of May 29-30, with B2B meetings between attending companies and international operators/buyers taking place at Palazzo dei Pio.
