The year of the unexpected, 2020 certainly stripped our life’s…
Where the countryside is immersed in golden olive groves and the sea meets the land at marvellous cliff faces, the Italian region of Puglia is one of rich history, culture and flavour. Inspired by the energetic hues of Southern Italy, the dynamic duo of Le Ninè, Francesca Ferri and Fiorella Polito longed to inject the magic of Puglia into their own physical baskets of happiness. Colours of the Apulian land and sea are threaded through the collection: from the soft green resemblant of olive trees, to the piercing white of the Trulli, the fiery rouge of succulent tomatoes and the seductive tang of pink and orange that lines the Apulian sunsets.
Lined with 100% cotton, embroidered and embellished with natural raffia, crystal stones and rare cowrie shells, each piece is as functional as it is beautiful. Just as the Adriatic and Ionian seas kiss the land with midnight blue, the bags are finished with cross-grain ribbons and tassels that mimic their magical movement. Proudly made in Italy and designed to suit the unique needs and desires of the wearer, each piece is hand-made by skilled Italian artisans and is highly customizable. First, by selecting the coloured cotton lining, then the stones, the handle, rope and size, and of course, adding your initials if you wish. For lovers of travel, endless summer days and life’s little joys, the SS21 collection is the perfect embodiment that will carry the wearer from day to night, all summer long.
